Join us for the Sacred Heart Church Annual Parish Picnic on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 4:30 PM at the Amphitheatre Bower Ponds, 4715 Fountain Dr, Red Deer, AB T4N 6W4. With the theme “Bringing the Parish Together,” we invite everyone to come and enjoy an afternoon of fellowship, food, fun, games, and Praise & Worship as we gather together as one parish family. Please bring your lawn chair and come with your heart ready to worship and celebrate. Everyone is welcome!

Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary

Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rockies, Canmore
Join us Thursday, August 6 for a one-day Pilgrimage to The Shrine of Our Lady of the Rockies in Canmore, Alberta.
Bus departs from Sacred Heart parking lot 7am and returns 7pm. Cost of $45 includes transportation, tour of The Shrine, Mass and Adoration.

Infant Jesus of Prague
Join us on Sunday, June 14th at the 3pm Mass as Sacred Heart Parish will be receiving a statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague. This statue has been brought from Prague by Susan Papas Hauck and gifted to our parish. Before the arrival of the statue, it was taken to the Church of Our Lady of Victory in Prague, the original shrine of the Infant Jesus. In 1637 the statue spoke to Fr. Cyril saying “Have mercy on Me and I will have mercy on you. Give Me hands and I will give you peace. The more you honour Me, the more I will bless you.”
There will be a reception in the hall following the 3pm Mass.

Sunday, June 7th following the 11am Mass. The Eucharistic procession will take place around the outside of the church. Incense will be used.

Living Rosary
The Beauty of Our Parish
We are a beautiful blend of people from many places coming together to share the love of Christ through our gifts and our Catholic faith. To celebrate our faith and our love of Our Lady we wish to gather for a Living Rosary
This year we request different nationalities to host a decade each. We are asking people from the Philippines, Polish, Italian, Spanish and French
speaking. We ask the group to lead the prayers in their own language and the rest of us will respond in our own
language.
