The Knights of Columbus was founded by Venerable Michael J. McGivney in 1882. He wanted to ensure that widows
of deceased Catholics would be taken care of. As a result, we have
one of the world's best members-only insurance programs. Our order is founded on the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. From its simple beginnings, the K of C has grown to 1.8 million Catholic men. The Knights of Columbus in Red Deer serve as custodians of Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Brochures about the cemetery are available in the foyer of the Church. Our meetings are held at the K of C Hall on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. The hall is located at 5579 47 St. (two blocks west of Carnival Theatre) Any member of the Knights of Columbus is welcome to attend. Make sure you have your current travel documents with you. If you would like to become a member, contact David Bouchard at dacat2@shaw.ca or 403 342 6191
